Hello to all South Union and

Menallen Townships Voters

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Earl Wright of South Union Township I am running for
Magisterial District Judge for the South Union/Menallen Townships. A 1970 graduate of Laurel Highlands
High School and a South Union resident since 2000, I believe my Life experience has prepared me to
serve as a judge in the first level of the judicial system.
I have been married to my wife Theresa for almost 33 years, I have Four Sons, Earl Jr. (David), Michael,
Donavon, and Brian.
I am a retired Police Officer of over 28 years, mostly for the city of Uniontown, PA. Starting in 1973 as a
Patrolmen, I worked my way up to Detective, Sergeant, K-9 hander, and retired in 2001 as a Captain. I
also worked at Laurel Highlands School District as chief of their School Police from July of 2001 until I
was mobilized in 2003.
I am a Veteran /Disabled Veteran of over 40 years from August 20, 1970 through January 19, 2011. I
Served In the Army Reserves From August 20 1970 until November 22 2002. I then served in the Pa
National Guard from November 23 2002 until January 7, 2007. Where he was mobilized from January
30th 2003 through January 1st 2005 at the 171 Air Refueling wing at the Air National Guard Base in
Pittsburgh, PA. I was stationed in Iraq from July 30th 2005 through June 30th 2006 with the 110th
Mechanized Infantry Battalion, Mount Pleasant, PA. I then returned to Army reserves where I was on
active duty with the 316th ESC in Pittsburgh Pa where I served as the Food Service NCO , I then was of
Afghanistan to Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where I stayed until January 17th, 2011. I retired as a Command
Sergeant Major.
Theresa and I owned and operated two businesses. Fayette Diner on Peter Street in Uniontown, PA. We
also ran Wright's Protection INC.
After being discharged from the US Army, I drove truck for two years, and is currently employed as
Motor Coach Driver at Central Cab Co, in Waynesburg, PA. If elected as Magisterial District Judge, I
would resign from that position.
I believe I am qualified for the position of District Judge, a position I have always wanted to hold, now is
the time for me to run because the office in South Union and Menallen Townships is vacant..
